Norman McDonnell: CEO Connect Credit Union Ltd.
Norman started his career in the credit union sector as Manager of Kilsaran & District Credit Union in 2008. Through merger and natural growth, Norman has managed growth in asset size from €10m in 2016 to €87m at present (March 2026). The Credit Union has achieved over 43% loan book growth for the last five years alone. Sustainability & ESG are one of the objectives on Connect Credit Unions Strategic Plan for 2026. Norman holds a MBS, BBS, QFA and is a member of the ACOI. Norman served as Director of Compliance for the Credit Union Managers Association (CUMA), worked with the Central Bank of Ireland CEO Forum Steering Group on Business Model Development and currently sits as a Director of Collaborative Finance Ireland CLG.
