Bio

Dr. Zierau already wanted to became a surgeon at the age of 9. This goal he has also not lost sight of during his sports career as a rower. The medical studies began in 1982, and in 1988 the doctoral thesis was defended at the Berlin Charitè. Then, in 1994, he completed his specialist training in surgery. This was followed by training and work in vascular surgery. After studying at Stanford - University, the idea for the Saphenion® Vein Care center was born - vascular surgery with the catheter. He has now been working with his colleagues using endovascular techniques for 23 years, 8 of them with vein glue.
