Khedr was first introduced to hospitality in 2007 with The Oberoi Group, working as a front office assistant in Egypt. He stayed in Egypt up until 2009 as front office supervisor for IHG in Marsa Alam before joining the Armani Hotel Dubai as reservations team leader. Staying in the emirate, he later joined Jumeirah Group as cluster sales executive, rising the ranks over the next seven years. He left the company as cluster associate director of sales to join Accor as its key account director – global sales. In September 2021 he has stepped down from his position in Accor Global Sales to join a hospitality consultancy firm. Mohamed Khedr is now Managing Partner of AKHOM Consulting.
